In 2006 I borrowed a violin from a friend. After that I borrowed a bow from another. Since then I conscienciously didn't practice playing the violin. In line with a widely acclaimed opinion, the art of not learning to play violin is not so much of a hassle. In 2007 I borrowed the name MANANASOKO from yet another friend for the purpose of the first performance in this one-man-only, so to say, ensemble.
Also about that time I borrowed an image of a face (with knife and fork on it) from my former (and current) girlfriend. I got used to it so much that I use it till now and it naturally appeared on the cover of this album. Together with this face came the slogan "ATTENTION, CANNIBALISM" and equally naturally became the title of this album. This title is so appropriate because of the fact that cannibalism as a form of intimate interpersonal relations perfectly fits these songs (which are, as you know, about love).
Most of the recordings were created in January and February 2009 at home, because home is a place to record beyond compare. I asked Piotr Pawlak for cooperation in producing this album. He not only agreed, but did his work outstandingly well, and surely didn't borrow his skill from anyone! We recorded the remaining vocals and double bass tracks in Kashubia during the summer, and the marimbas and vibraphones at Pawel's in Brzezno. In total, five songs came out as a result, which gives eighteen minutes of music after three years of work.
